Most people who know my boyfriend often ask him how his girlfriend puts up with his crap. I must either have a lot of patience or I have a weakness for jerks. I'm hoping it's the patience thing. Anyway - this blog is meant to be funny; although there will likely be moments when I am very angry and very serious about the crap he puts me through and there will be other times that I'll be mushy gushy and you'll want to excuse yourself from the computer to puke your guts out.
I have nothing particular to say about him today - other than he will probably be far too smug about me writing a blog about him than he should be, but I'll give you a brief introduction of him.
He's a 29-year-old single dad with a 5-year-old girl and a bat shit crazy sociopath for a baby mama (she may be mentioned here to as I am always stunned by how he could have ever been with such a douchey-chick). He used to play college baseball and was a big frat boy back in the day, so that might be where some of his attitude comes from. I personally think he shouldn't be on such a high horse anymore because he (A) hasn't finished school yet (is currently going thanks to my urging him), (B) he works in a call center (where for some reason everyone else thinks they are hella cool too...what?!), and (C) he has a girlfriend (ME) who has basically made it possible for him to have an awesome place to live, a nice car to drive, and loads of disposable income that he would only have if he lived at home with mom and dad (which he did when we first started dating and btw lied to me about until I called him out about it). Anyway, we've been together almost two years now and we live together as well - so I am in this for the long haul. I will probably make him sound like more of a jerk than he really is, but I think this blog will be fun.
I'm not trying to be a hater or anything or say that I myself am the shit; I just want to make it quite clear that I put up with a lot of crap from my man and I need a place to vent about it.
P.S. I also have a regular blog here on vox: http://eloise.vox.com
